Initial Offerings was born from a lifelong love of all things monogrammed. What began more than thirty years ago as a collection of vintage silver pieces and linens adorned with other people’s monograms became a passion for timeless style, meaningful details, and beautifully personalized gifts.
My first retail venture began in the late 1980s in Delray Beach, Florida, where my mother and I opened a Pappagallo boutique called Kimberly’s. Soon after, we opened a second location in North Palm Beach. Known for classic preppy style, Pappagallo inspired an aesthetic that still influences my designs today — timeless, elegant, and thoughtfully curated.
In 2000, after moving to Georgia, I launched a stationery business called Social Ink. What began with wedding invitations and personalized stationery quickly expanded into sterling silver jewelry, gifts, and eventually my own line of monogrammed handbags. As the handbag collection grew, it evolved into a successful licensed business that included collegiate designs and franchise partnerships.
After relocating to Pennsylvania in 2003, I sold the stationery business to focus on designing and manufacturing the handbag collection full time. Later, I stepped away from the business to spend more time with my family.
Another move brought our family to Northern California in 2010, where I quickly realized there was a shortage of personalized stationery and gifts in my area. That inspiration led to the creation of Initial Offerings. I reconnected with many of the talented designers and manufacturers I had worked with through Social Ink, bringing together years of experience, creativity, and a love for personalization.
In 2017, our love of the Southeast brought us back home to Georgia. That move also inspired me to reconnect with my artistic roots and launch my own collection of stationery and wedding paper designs, with a special focus on wedding invitations and day-of details.
Today, Initial Offerings continues to celebrate timeless style, thoughtful gifting, and the beauty of personalization. Every piece is created with care and designed to help make life’s moments feel even more meaningful.
